Glover River

Southern Oklahoma-October-a beautiful cabin on the Glover River. Tam and I spent the weekend lounging, eating, flyfishing, and watching Texas beat Missouri. The water was high and a little muddy, the rocks were a little slicker than I had imagined. Fishing was slow-I was looking for the Neosha strain smallmouth, but the catch was limited to small largemouths, big warmouths, and a single three pound bigmouth. We grilled some really nice steaks, read a lot, and just enjoyed the area. We took one meal at the Mexican restaraunt in Broken Bow-adequate if not inspired. We enjoyed the hot tub immensely. If you are interested in visiting the area, try crookedrivercabins.com . The cabin was absolutely perfect.
